I then completely formatted the drive, repeated the DSM reinstall, rebooted and the web login was successful. This allows me to reinstall DSM, but on reboot following the reinstall it still won't let me log in. From the manual the status LED should become ORANGE Flashing, instead it flashes green. I also attempted the reset using the reset button, press for 5 seconds until the BIP for 2 times. This is the behavior when a Synology NAS, in this case a DS415+, cant boot. power blue light is slowing blinking and also disk 2 green light blinking. Upon restart, it is no longer possible to connect in any way, either via browser or via ssh.
